Jojoba - my oil of choice. (Even though it's scientifically considered a "liquid wax!")

The jojoba (pronounced ho-ho-ba) is a desert shrub native to the hot, arid regions of the Southwest US and Mexico. From its seeds, liquid gold is extracted. Jojoba oil is widely prized for its skin and hair benefits, and loved by massage therapists like me for its minimal processing plus noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic properties.

I use organic, cold-pressed jojoba oil in all my massage sessions. Not only do I find it has the perfect ratio of grip and glide, but I also don't have to worry about pore-clogging or allergy-triggering ingredients for my clients.

Jojoba oil is great for skin because it behaves so similarly to sebum, the natural oil we excrete to maintain moisture. It also contains a host of antioxidants and vitamins, namely vitamin E.

There's a whole host of reasons to love jojoba oil for therapists and clients alike.
